Recently, a mission team lead by Dan Sheffield went to West Africa. They were returning to see the Konkaby people, a people group that they discovered a couple of years ago while on a mission trip. Many people covered this mission trip in prayer for weeks before the trip and of course, while the mission team was away serving. God was faithful to answer these prayers.

Meeting basic needs:
The village in Guinea, West Africa that the team was visiting, sits on solid rock and has no running water. The muddy streams that trickle by are their only source of water. Because of the dirty water supply, people are malnourished, severely dehydrated and dying.
But our God gives life...physical and spiritual.
God meets our needs:
The mission team developed relationships with two men who are professional well-diggers. Although the going rate for a well through solid rock is $26,000...these men offered to dig a well for $1,000...by hand. Since it's impossible to get heavy machinery to the village, these men will use a hammer, chisel and shovel to dig 60 feet, through rock, to water.
I spoke with Dan Sheffield, the Director of Missions for the Susquehanna Baptist Association. He said that if the youth group at CBC raised $1,000, every penny would go toward another well being put in a village in Africa.
Pray about how you can make some small sacrifices over the next couple months so we can meet our goal of $1,000 and provide water and life to people in need!

This is so amazing i can't believe that we're more then 1/2 way to a $1,000.
Wow guys! I can't believe that we have almost raised enough money for a well. This is going to be such a blessing to the people in Africa. Ben and Alisha (friends from riverside) are thinking about going to Africa. Pray for them so that they will not only help the people's physical needs, but also their spiritual needs! This is so AWESOME!!! -taytay
